Room for rent in 3-bed/2 bath house in Madison Valley $733 + utilities SEP 1 The house: We live in a three bedroom, 2 bathroom house with a beautiful, large kitchen and open living room. We have an outside area where we’ve set up chairs and a BBQ. The room you’d be living in is the largest of the three with a roomy closet. The whole house is furnished except for the closet you’d be moving into (but we’re always open to redecorating the place if you have furniture you can’t live without). You’d be sharing a bathroom with just one of us. Our landlord is an extremely nice guy who I’ve only met during move-in and move-out. The room is $733 per month. Utilities usually cost $50 per month and internet is $18. The lease is 6 months with the potential to stay longer. Any downfalls? The house is not noise-proof and there is not a lot of storage space. MOVE IN DATE IS SEP 1st, 2015! The neighborhood: We are located in an extremely prime location: 2 minutes to the Arboretum, 5 minutes to Capitol Hill, 5 minutes to Madison Park, 5 minutes to Lake Washington, 10 minutes to downtown. You can smell the coffee from Essential Bakery and constantly see bikers going through the Arboretum or down to the lake. There are a handful of restaurants a block away from our home. The bus stop is one block away where the 8 and 11 pass frequently to downtown. The roommates: You’d be sharing a home with three women all in their mid-twenties. Lauren wears a hard hat on occasion while serving an AmeriCorps year at Habitat for Humanity. She lived abroad for 7 years, loves learning languages, and is obsessed with avocados. She shares a room with her girlfriend Dayana. Dayana is from Colombia, studied International Business, and is now teaching Spanish and taking English courses in Seattle. She recently found the joy that is Mexican food and IPAs which have replaced a huge portion of her diet. Susy is our lawyer. Well, almost. She is entering her second year at Seattle University Law School after teaching poetry in juvenile centers in LA for 5 years. Susy divides her time between fighting recidivism, getting in upside down yoga positions, and driving to extremely loud bachata and reggaeton. We all enjoying eating, wine, dancing, and sleeping. About you: He, she, or they (as long as it’s a singular they). Someone who is clean, pays the bills on time, and can respect our early weekday bedtimes and later weekend evenings.
