My wife and I are considering renting out our 2nd bedroom. About the room: The room is a bit smaller, but it is fully furnished with a queen bed, Vizio 39" Smart TV, desk, and dresser. I do not know the dimension off hand. If you want a smaller bed, it would fit more. In addition, the room has a K-Cup style coffee maker. You will share a bathroom with us. Rent price is negotiable but price would include gas, electric, TV, wifi, and rent. Available nearly immediately. Pictures available upon request. What we are looking for in a roommate: Non-smoker, no drugs (including pot), no drama, no pets. Must provide proof of income/savings/ability to pay rent. We will run a background check. We will interview candidates, so no out of state candidates will be considered. We want a long-term roommate as we do not want to go through this multiple times. We prefer long term commitments (i.e., longer than 6 months), but other circumstances will be considered. About the apartment: It is a 2 bedroom/1 bath apartment garden unit. It is located near Harlem/North, just a bit north of Oak Park and south of Harlem/Irving Plaza. We have central heat and central air, a washer/dryer is included in the apartment (so free laundry), and a well appointed kitchen with anything you could possibly desire. If you have a car, you would have street parking. We have a security system. We also have a vintage record player and a Nespresso machine. About the neighborhood: There are 2 bus stops right in front of the house, one will head to the blue line and the other to the green line. We are also a short walk to Metra. It is about 10 minutes to Oak Park. A grocery store is very close, as is a Dunkin Donuts among other neighborhood amenities. We are on the Chicago side of the street, in the Montclare/Galewood community. About us: We are a married, same-sex couple. We have 2 cats.
