We're looking for one lovely roommates to join our humble abode for January 1st to the end of April (option to extend the lease then). We are looking for someone who wants to build an intentional community with us, and join in the loveliness of living together! About us: One is working full time in environmental chemistry. They are vegetarian and enjoy gardening in our many vegetable beds, enjoy conversation, singing, and being slightly (or more than slightly) odd. Another is working full-time in the arts. They are a artist, and appreciate all sorts of creative practices. They love the outdoors and all that good stuff, riding bikes, art, yummy food, oh and coffeeeee. They are super excited to meet you! The other is a full time restaurant slave. Likes to study and listen to music when have free time. Always open to learn new things. And terrible to describe himself. About You: Are queer/trans* friendly. Are interested in living in intentional community. Value creativity (read: have a weirdly obscure or artsy or bizarre hobby? passion for ______?) Would be interested in regularly sharing meals/food/life! Get super excited about open and direct communication. Are not a regular smoker of cigarettes. The room: The room is furnished except for maybe a bed **this will be edited when we confirm what furniture is staying**, it has a large north facing window. It is $400. The place: It is a surprisingly super well-lit basement at 14th and Knight St. (10 min walk to Commercial/Broadway skytrain, right on the 22 bus route, and minutes from the 9 and 99, very close to 10th Ave bike route, Woodland bike route). There is bike storage! Rent includes internet, utilities, shared communal items like TP and general household needs, dried goods, spices, baking supplies and miscellaneous food items, etc. There is laundry! There are multiple garden beds that provide communal food, and there are also oyster mushrooms!
