Located in the recently beautified Theatre District just blocks away from the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. Apartments are on the third floor, above retail on the first floor and office space on the second. The building was constructed in 1901 by George N. Pierce Company, an established bicycle manufacturer who had expanded production to include motorettes and automobiles. In the 30s, Mendleson Furniture Company took over the building. Inside the building they built a house used to create an atmosphere of being at home, which was helpful for the furniture showing that took place there in the 30s through 70s. A Metrorail stop at Theater station provides free, quick access to Canalside, First Niagara Center, HarborCenter, Coca Cola Field, and numerous restaurants along Main St. It also provides quick service to Medical campus, North Buffalo, Canisius College, and UB South Campus.
