AVAILABLE May 29th. Preferably looking for another working professional. This is for one bedroom in a shared two bedroom apartment. One month = $1300/month. Two months = $1200/month. $100 for utilities (includes water, gas, heat, electricity, FIOS internet 100/100mbps). The house is pre-war(100+ years old) with solid construction and an original tin ceiling in the kitchen. The whole house was just renovated this August shortly after the landlord moved in (who himself is on the first floor). Our apartment takes up the entire second floor and each bedroom has its own lock. There are stairs leading up to our apartment near the main entrance. The smaller bedroom has one window facing a building with a/c available. It is a little over 170 square feet in size with a completely open plan. I currently have navy blackout curtains installed on the main and side windows. Additionally, I can lend you my portable wardrobe organizer. There is a queen sized bed/mattress available. A locked door with sound insulation separates the two bedrooms. There is a large kitchen/dining room with a table, chairs, plenty of cookware, appliances, and storage space. A large bathroom contains plenty of room for laundry bins and more storage. You are free to use my extensive cookware (Pots, pans, cookie sheets, rice cooker, cutlery, etc.). I just ask that it be maintained in return. The hallway is ours and has space for bikes and more storage. Carpeting has been added in the last few weeks. The landlord lives on the first floor and is diligent about any issues that may arise. 15 minutes away from Manhattan via the 7 train. 10 Minutes away by N/Q. About 7 trains within 3 blocks in total. Super convenient without having to deal with the noise. The neighborhood is a mix of old houses and condos/hotels. It's quite safe and I go for evening and morning jogs on occasion with no worries. There are three major supermarkets within 15 minutes of the train/walking. A bodega is a block away with cheap meals and basic goods. Nearby is a gastropub that is great for meeting friends, clients, etc. I'm a software professional in my mid-20s and have lived in New York most of my life. I like things to be clean and peaceful for the most part. I work 9am-6pm and sleep 12-8am on average. You're free to invite people over, but no crazy parties. I like to keep our food separate, but I'm into cooking and you are invited to eat if I have extra. If you know how to cook up some pho, that's a big plus. Salary should be 36x+ the monthly rent and a credit check/application will be run for good matches. Please have the security deposit and first month's rent on hand if you are serious. You can stay up until July 31st. No smoking please.
