Roommate (m/f) wanted to share a bright two bedroom, two bath in beautiful, spacious, newly rehabbed flat starting January 1st. The flat is large, with a furnished living room, in a clean, pleasant, well-maintained building, and includes a rooftop deck with a beautiful view of the Loyola beach park and the lake. The apartment contains a fireplace, central air-conditioning/heat, dishwasher, and stainless steel appliances, lots of storage space, in-unit laundry, and you would have your own bathroom. The building is situated just 1 building from the Loyola beach, 10 minute walk from the Loyola or Morse el stop, and the Intercampus shuttle to NU and two minutes from the 147 and 155 bus stop (ideal if you work/study at Loyola or Northwestern). Your roommate would be me, a 31 year old Cultural Anthropology Post-Doc at Northwestern. I am from California, but am loving Chicago so far and especially living so close to the lake, beautiful parks, and the lively atmosphere of Rogers Park! There’s also an in-house canine, Charlotte, a ridiculously adorable medium-sized 8 yro dog who is very quiet and sleeps/relaxes most of the time at home. I am pretty social, love to cook, listen to music at home, and watch internet TV when I am unwinding at night. I work from home pretty frequently but will be on campus probably 3/wk. I like being friends with my roommates but also sometimes prefer to do my own thing after a long day. I like to keep the apartment tidy, usually sweep/mop once a week, but am not obsessive about cleanliness. If you are available to occasionally help out with Charlotte when I am on campus all day or out of town that would be a major plus, but it is not a requirement!
