Inquiries: Please let me know what you do, the hours you keep, how you spend your free time, and any preferences in shared living arrangements. -It is available 03/01, maybe a little earlier. -If we think it would be a good fit, I have an application that includes current and past references for each employers and landlords, and you must complete a credit and background check ($40 per person paid directly via an easy website service). -The deposit is last month's rent, and a $400 security deposit paid at lease signing. I am renting my unfurnished daylight basement including a bedroom (9'11" X 8'6" with space for a queen mattress), large closet in the bedroom (6'7" X 3'1"), large bedroom window, large living space (18' X 8'6"), private full bathroom and private entrance with steps up to the back yard (the bedroom and living room are about 250 sqft combined). -The photos show the main floor, then the basement, then the back patio -There is no door on the stairs up to the main floor, so it is not a separate unit, and the w/d for the entire house is in the basement bathroom, so myself and another roommate enter the space to do laundry. -Uncovered patio in the back (I have a propane bbq). -Metolius rock climbing Project board above the half bath on the main floor. -Beam on main floor with hooks and space for three more bikes -Converting the back corner of the lot into two terraced garden beds -Steep driveway (my Camry bottoms out on it) with two spaces, which may be available to share with the other roommate. Free on street parking is always available on our block or within a couple blocks Utilities are split among the residents at any given time (a couple pays half). Since I bought the house (10/14) per person bills have ranged from month to month $50 to $120 for each of three people (average $75) depending on what bills come due. For a couple, with modestly increased utility usage with the fourth person, I would guess your average would be $120-140. About me: 29 year old male UW PhD student. -Love to get outdoors when I have the time particularly technical rock climbing (mostly trad now, but also sport) and rock and ski mountaineering. -Bike to get around in the city most of the time. -Cook casually often and elaborately occasionally and host dinner parties. -Have some herb planters in the back and in process of converting the back corner of the lot (15X12) into a vegetable garden with two terraced raised beds. -Upstairs roommate Lara is an avid cyclist (former bike messenger), gardener, and generally pleasant and energetic person. She is in her 30s and is from the area and is in nursing school at Seattle U. -My out-of-town girlfriend Carmen visits some weekends, monthly or so, and brings her super friendly dog Rosie. The roommate(s) I am looking for: -Sociable and easy going. -Non-smoker (if you usually smell like smoke/tobacco/anything smoked that is too much), pot or ecigs outside are okay -Clean up after yourselves and pitch in with house cleaning. It would be nice if cleaning could remain a proactive and informal effort. -Potentially open to a quiet, well-behaved dog for a $50/mo additional pet fee and if you promise to stay on top of cleaning up hair.
