I am currently subletting a room in a first floor apartment at 170 Thorndike Street in North Brookline, and it's been so great that I want to stay from September 1st 2016 to September 1st 2017. Potential tenants and I can sign a lease as soon as we have a qualifying group of 4 ready. There are three spacious, well-lit rooms available in our four bedroom, two bathroom apartment.
Bedrooms are of varying size (but still fairly large); the smallest is $837.50, and the two larger bedrooms are $912.50 apiece.
Living room is HUGE with large bay windows and a wide doorway.
Kitchen is very large and well-stocked, with plenty of cabinet and counter space and plenty of room for four people's groceries.
The two bathrooms are recently renovated and gorgeous.
Heat is included, hot water is not, but we've got an AMAZING landlady (Ilona Sherman) and utilities come out to $50-70 max a month including cable (we've got RCN, which is much better--and cheaper--than Xfinity). There is also NO FINDER'S FEE and NO BROKER'S FEE, which means you just pay First Month, Security Deposit, and your rent.
There is ample storage space in the basement, and for laundry, we use the laundromat on the corner opposite us, right next to Clear Flour Bakery.
