Looking for a roommate in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath in-law unit. You'd have your own room and detached bathroom. It is the bottom unit of a duplex located in a quiet family neighborhood. The owner lives on the upper floor with her kids (which I believe are in elementary/middle school). Main cross streets are Mission St. and Geneva Ave.; about a mile from Balboa Park BART station. Bus stop for the 8, 14, 43 & 54 are all within a five minute walk. The 8 & 14 would get you into the city while the 43 would go through Haight and into Marina area. About apartment & shared space: The entire place was completely re-modeled about a year ago; the person you would be replacing is the only one who has been in there since the re-model. Entire apartment has wood floors. The kitchen and living room area are connected for an open format once entering the front door. The kitchen has a fridge and electric stove-top. There is no microwave or oven but I was planning on purchasing a microwave and/or toaster oven to make up for it. There is a washer/dryer in the unit so no need to find quarters for your laundry! Pet policy: Not sure on how the owner feels about cats/dogs but I assume small ones would be negotiable; medium/large ones (30+ lbs) unlikely to be allowed. About me: I'm a 27 year old straight male. I've been living in this place for just over a year. I enjoy rock climbing (if you climb, instant belay partner!), soccer, camping, hiking and other outdoor activities. About you: Both guys and gals are welcome to apply; I am looking for someone in their twenties/early thirties. I've actually been living with girls for the past seven years and prefer the difference in genders to even out the household. Application process: My current roommate is looking to move out by April 1st so there is the potential it's available before then. We could negotiate that with her. The landlord/property manager will do a credit check so make sure to have all the basic rental items (recent pay stubs/proof of income, credit report, etc.) ready.
