YOUR ROOM: This is a small, furnished, private upstairs room with a closet. The room comes with the following: queen sized mattress & box spring, dresser, waste-bin. There is one window with Venetian blinds. Upstairs bathroom is shared with two people. The dimensions of the room are approximately 8'x11.5' and there is plenty of shared space downstairs. This is a SUBLET available through mid-November 2016. Our house, Casa Pirata, is located just east of Georgia Ave. in the developing Park View neighborhood. We are four blocks from the heart of Columbia Heights, where you can access the DC USA shopping center and Green Line, and just two blocks from the 11th Street restaurant & bar district, featuring Wonderland, Room 11, Meridian Pint, and other neighborhood staples. The H bus lines run down our street and it's a 2 minute walk to the 70/79 down Georgia Avenue. The Petworth and Columbia Heights Metro stops are both a 10-15 minute walk away. WHO WE ARE: We are a house of three progressive adults ages 24-30. You'll be the fourth roommate of the house and will be sharing living room, dining area, and kitchen with a (male) musician and receptionist at a salon who is a member of The Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, DC, a (female) queer activist working in non-profit social media, and a (male) Democratic organizer and bartender. Our general house interests include DIY projects, teaching ourselves repair basics, house parties, and watching quality television. This is an LGBTQ- and 420-friendly establishment. WE ARE SEEKING: We are seeking a responsible party who is willing to help keep the house clean, able to make their monthly payments without difficulty, and interested in fostering a relationship with the other members of the house. This is not a boarding house, and we take pride in forging meaningful relationships with the current and former members of this house. We are especially interested in people with artistic and/or political interests that inform and power their lives. HOUSE FEATURES: Central air, two full bathrooms, washer/dryer, grill, front and back porches, projector, fast internet/wifi. NO DISHWASHER. Sorry, no pets.
