The Space We’re looking for a roommate to take the second bedroom in our 2-BR apartment. The building opened last month so everything is brand new. Everything is already furnished, except for your personal terrace. You’d have an uber-comfortable queen bed and plenty of closet space, and we’d share a fully-stocked kitchen and well-kept bathroom. Building/Neighborhood We’re in Williamsburg, conveniently located one block away from the Lorimer (L) / Metropolitan (G) stops - 2 stops to Manhattan, 4 stops to Union Square. 10-minute walk to JMZ train. Plenty of great restaurants, bars, and grocery stores within walking distance. In addition to each of our personal balconies, the building has a rooftop common space (one floor above) as well as a common garden area - friends are welcome. Gym, laundry, and lounge are in the building as well. Our apartment is on the top floor (4th floor walkup) with great views. The building does not allow pets. About Us We are a couple in our early thirties - Don J. is a lawyer-turned-developer working on his startup; Ai previously worked in fashion and is now babysitting while exploring a culinary career. He sometimes works from home but is often out visiting users or working at his office, and she works regular hours on weekdays. We love to cook and drink wine, but we always clean up after ourselves and keep the space well-ventilated. We’ve been together for years and are drama-free, and though we like to go out from time to time we’re mostly low key. About You We’re looking for one roommate (strongly preferred, but we might consider some couples) who is a professional with stable income and has a good sense of their weekly schedule. Keeping a clean/neutral space is of utmost importance to us; you’re the type of person who doesn’t leave any dishes in the sink (and it bugs you when somebody else does). Maintaining a serene environment is valuable to you. You’re welcome to have a couple friends over from time to time, but larger parties should be kept on the building’s rooftop or garden. Any and all smoking must be kept to your balcony. Rent/Costs $2200/mo for rent, which includes 100Mbps high-speed internet and all commonly used products for the space (tissue, cleaners, etc.). Gas/Electric not included. $40/week to help us pay for the weekly housekeeper. We’re looking for someone to rent for 3-6 months. First + Last + One month security required.
