Two of our roommates are moving out, leaving two vacancies in our six person townhouse. The remaining four roommates are seeking two new roommates to replace them on our month-to-month lease, with the intention of signing a year-long lease once we come up on our lease renewal in the near future. About this U St. gem: Off the beaten path of U street on the cozy, quiet one-block Westminster St. NW lies a 3 story townhouse with spacious living and dining rooms, a large recently renovated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, an amazing rooftop deck, a washer/dryer in the basement with some additional storage space for residents, and a back patio/parking space. We have FIOS basic cable and 50mb fiber optic internet, forced-air conditioning and a monthly cleaning lady included in the basic utilities. About the available rooms: All rooms require a $500 move-in fee, 1 month rent security deposit and split utilities of about $110/month. $747 - Quiet, medium sized room with a deep closet and two bright windows overlooking the alley. Located on the second floor next to the bathroom. This bathroom is shared with 3 others from the first and second floor rooms. $780- Quiet, medium sized room with closet located on the third floor. This room has a door to the roof deck. The room also connects to the master bedroom and utilizes the recently renovated third floor bathroom, shared with the other third floor resident. About us: We're a very outgoing and fun group of male and female young professionals aged 25-29. All four roommates have full-time employment ranging from Capitol Hill and human rights work to software development and cybersecurity. We're all friends and enjoy going out (mainly on U st), cooking (lots of grilling/bbqing) and entertaining friends. We're all pretty active and you'll often find the house does not feel crowded at all! Not a huge party house, but we enjoy having a handful of friends over before going out on weekends.Occasionally, we host a larger, come-ye-all party where we provide some kind of mouth-watering smoked meat and good drinks. These parties start earlier and don't go later than 12 a.m. out of respect for our neighbors and ourselves.
