Hi! My roommate and I are currently looking for a replacement roommate (our other roommate is moving to Atlanta) for our 3 bedroom apartment in Bed-Stuy/Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. (Sorry for the length but it's important to be thorough ABOUT THE ROOM: -1 bedroom available in a 3 bedroom apartment -May 1st move in (somewhat flexible for late April) -9x8 partially furnished room (but doesn't have to be) with large window, big closet, and hardwood floors -Room can fit a full bed, dresser, and a small bookcase (Room currently fits a twin bed, large dresser and large bookcase) -First month's rent + security deposit to move in ($1900) -Split electricity and Internet three ways APARTMENT: -1st floor, rear-facing unit with lots of light -Everything in this apartment is new and recently renovated -Fully furnished and equipped -Alley and roof access -Great kitchen with a dishwasher -Marble bathroom -Heat and hot water included in the rent -Laundry is across the street! ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD: -5 minutes from the C and G trains and the Franklin Avenue Shuttle with access to the 2/3 and 4/5 -30 minutes to Union Square -Bus access within minutes: B25, B26, B38, B44, B45, B49, B48, B52, B65 -1 mile to Atlantic Terminal, Target, Barclays Center, Prospect Park, Fort Greene Park -1/2 mile to Greene Hill Food Coop -1 block from Bedford YMCA and 5 mins to Planet Fitness -Minutes from tons of restaurants and bars in the area -On the border of Clinton Hill, Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights, and Prospect Heights ABOUT US: 25 and 32-year-old ladies, non-smoking, non-vegetarian (but it's okay if you are), employed full time One of us is from New Mexico, works in PR, and loves Parks & Rec, Better Call Saul, Broad City and Top Chef, cooking, organizing, international development, traveling/geography, NPR, and Bloody Mary's The other one is from Long Island, went to school in Connecticut and Boston, loves board games, photography, cooking, eating, exploring the city, people watching, and whiskey. We BOTH like cool things like: music, movies, beer, concerts, comedy, theater, getting coffee, Netflix marathons, and enjoying NYC and BK. ABOUT YOU: -Guy or girl, mid 20s to early 30s -Good credit, gainfully employed, pays rent and utilities on time -Clean, quiet, respectful, trustworthy, likes to go out for a few beers or make dinner/order in -Friendly, easygoing, responsible (no hard drug use, please) -Likes pets but doesn't have any--our one cat is enough (I mean, look at him) Additionally, we would prefer someone who can stay for at least a few months but we're flexible. The room is exactly 9' x 8' so it's on the smaller side, however, the apartment overall is very nice with lots of amenities and restaurants nearby.
