Hey everybody, My name is Scott and I’m a 3rd year animation student over at Emily Carr University. My roommate Steven and I looking to find a roommate for our apartment downtown for March 1st now that our third roommate is heading back home at the end of the month. The apartment is on Citadel Parade between W. Georgia and Dunsmuir right next to BC Place and Rogers arena. Our room is on the 20th floor of Spectrum Tower #2 which is less than a block from the Stadium Chinatown Skytrain (Expo/Millennium Lines) with a transfer to the Canada Line one station away. Our space has 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a den, small office, in-suite laundry, and an east-facing balcony which looks out to Rogers Arena and Science World. Our complex is literally on-top of a Costco (which we have a membership for) and there's also a T&T grocery store and Marketplace IGA within walking distance. The main Vancouver library is 3 blocks away and there are a couple of 24 hour coffee shops in the area as well. With your key fob, you'll be able to get into "Club Oasis" (I didn't know it had a name until last month haha) in tower #3 where there's an indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and a small work-out area with treadmills and free weights. The room is only 90" x 60", but it does have it’s own door so no one would be living in any of the common areas. When I used to live in the den, I was able to fit my IKEA futon in the folded up position, but our last roommate slept with her full size mattress directly on the floor. Both bedrooms have their own closets, so the hallway closet would belong to you. We all have our own cupboard space in the kitchen and the fridge is just big enough for everybody’s groceries. The apartment itself is furnished (couch, tv, pots, pans, silverware, etc) but if you don't already have a mattress, you could talk with our old roommate about buying hers. Steven and I are both in our early 20s and attending university in Vancouver. We’re both into sports, music, and good food and it’s pretty awesome being right next to the stadiums on game nights. Granville street is a 7 minute skytrain ride/10 minute walk or a $6-$8 cab ride away from the apartment as well. The two of us split the hydro and cable bills, so your rent will be $600/month.
