141 Desiard Street, built in 1928, is an eight story Chicago style skyscraper with an internal reinforced concrete frame and a decorative architectural veneer. The building received an extensive renovation, c. 1975, in which all the windows were replaced, almost all the internal build-out was replaced, and the first story was reoriented with a new entrance lobby. The resplendent, L-shaped first floor elevator lobby, with its elaborate coffered ceiling, marble bas relief walls and original art-glass chandeliers presents a magnificent entrance.
