1650 Harvard Street NW · Apartment for Rent

Roommate needed immediately for unfurnished 2/1 apartment located on Harvard St right off of 16th St NW. Room is private, fairly spacious, and has a private closet. The apartment will need to be shown today and into the weekend as it is being reserved for me to occupy asap. Rent is approximately 1k a month. Utilities are not included but will run about 100-150 monthly between cable and energy. Current lease is month to month but may be open to longer term. While I will have a dog in the apartment, I would prefer the applicant have no pets. May be considered if pet is brought to showing. The floor plan showed is not exactly the layout, imagine the sunroom is just part of the living room. Me: I am a female professional in my early 20s working in the downtown D.C. area. I am also a student so oftentimes I will be either quietly studying or out on the town enjoying my limited but well-spent free time. I love to exercise, spend time with my dog, read, and cook. I am a very clean person and will expect the same from the prospective roommate; nothing crazy, you won't find me raising an army for the occasional dishes in the sink overnight. I am not one for parties but I will have the occasional guest. You: Preferably a male around the same age although I am open to all. No pets is preferred although they will be considered if brought to visit. Clean, responsible, and friendly. I do not expect a live-in best friend but it would be nice to maintain a casual environment. A stable income and hopefully a person who is not into a revolving door type visiting situation. I really don't ask for much other than doing your fair share, having consideration, and paying the bills on time. If this all sound dandy, feel free to shoot me an e-mail with a short bio. Extra info for the interested: Building amenities include a laundry room, snack/drink machine, and gym with one-time membership fee. The area is calm and tree-lined with the nightlife only a short 5-10min walk away going toward either AdMo or U Street. For the active types, Woodley Park has plenty of public courts, parks, and a pool. Very metro accessible with Columbia Heights metro nearby (5-10min walk) and several bus lines (42, S lines, etc.). Tivoli Square surrounds the metro with plenty of shops like Best Buy, Target, Petco, Giant, and many more. There is street parking, but mostly zoned.
