The room for rent is one room in a two bedroom registered basement suite in Dunbar. I am a master's student at UBC who will be in Toronto from mid-April to September 1st, and am looking to rent my room. Please contact me with serious inquiries only. I share my suite with my roommate, who is also a female UBC student, and her extremely well behaved, 30lbs sheep dog/duck toller named Nala. The suite is newly renovated with hard wood floors and tile in the bathroom and laundry room. Glass doors divide the main rooms from the bedrooms for extra quality and sound control. The basement is not fully underground, so each room has windows and there is lots of natural light during the day. The two of us share a living room with a private back entry way and a dining space, equipped with a sectional sofa, a TV, and a table with four chairs. We also share a full kitchen, with a refrigerator, an oven, a brand new dishwasher, and a stove. In addition, there is one full bath in the house (a bathtub/shower) and a complete laundry room with lots of storage space. I will be renting my bedroom, but you are free to use the shared space as well. In my bedroom there is a full closet with floor to ceiling mirrored doors. There are also two night-table stands and a small dresser I will leave. I can leave my mattress, but I do not own a bed frame. If you'd prefer to bring your own bed, you may. The two bedrooms are connected with a glass door, however, the door locks and we have curtains hung for additional privacy. Both bedrooms have four walls and are completely closed off from one another; we do not share bedrooms. I pay roughly $1000 a month to live in this suite; I'd only be asking for $850 (for rent, which includes internet--we don't have cable, but you may use our netflix account), but it won't include utilities, which are charged based on usage, which usually even out to $50 a month. We are both very clean individuals who are full time students and part-time employees, so we are very busy and the apartment is fairly quiet. We have a very good relationship with our landlords, who live in the house above us with their children, so there is absolutely no smoking allowed on the property. We also don't host parties, although we are allowed to have guests. We are looking for like-minded, clean, responsible adults, who are easy to get along with and who are not allergic to dogs.
