Off-street bedroom features large closet and can comfortably fit up to a full/queen sized bed. Apartment is small, but has an efficient floor-plan with a full kitchen and breakfast bar and the bedrooms are separated, which allows for some privacy. There are hardwood floors in the living area and carpet in the bedrooms. The rest of the apartment is fully furnished and features a small, on-street balcony with full sun. My current roomie and I loved sitting out there on nice summer days drinking wine and people watching...like we were back in Paris!
Partial bedroom furnishings (twin sized bed, desk and night stand in the first picture) are available for $50 extra per month. Utilities run about $60 per month per person, $80 if you include high-speed wireless internet. Cable tv may also be an option depending on your preferences and budget, although I did just purchase a brand new HD antenna at Costco!
I am willing to swap rooms, if desired, since both have equal advantanges (mine is slightly larger) and disadvantages (mine has a smaller closet and is noisier because it's on the street).
The building features VERY secured entry, elevators, a rooftop patio with off-leash dog area and a resident wi-fi lounge, recreational lounge and gym. The building also has a secured parking garage, but parking is extra ($165/mo for a car, less for bike or motorcycle). There is a zipcar lot directly behind our building and the building is directly on the C-Line busline and there are a ton of awesome bars and restaurants in easy walking distance. Although the street is noisy, the building itself has quiet hours from 10:00pm to 7:00am every day and the windows are double-paned, which drowns out a lot of the noise. The residents here are very friendly, the maintenance staff responds same day for most maintenance requests, and the other staff throw social events a couple times enough for residents, which can be very fun :)
Moda apartments requires background checks for all applicants, housing application with fee, first and last month's rent, damage deposit and a possible lease transferrance fee if you move in January or later.
The apartment is NOT available prior to December 1st.
About me, I'm a fun-loving, young professional, WA native. I was born and raised in Olympia, went to school at WWU in Bellingham, WA and now I live and work full time in Seattle and have been here for 3 years. I am responsible, clean, respectful and courteous and I expect the same in return. I would prefer to live with another female, as there is only one bathroom with a slider door that isn't all too private (which I don't mind if you don't).
I will be on vacation until November 12th, so please understand I may not be able to respond to any inquiries right away or set up an interview until then, etc.
