We're looking for a new roommate to take over a single bedroom in our two-level, 3br apartment in the Allegro apartment building in Columbia Heights. Our third roommate is moving out of state, so we're looking for someone to move in ideally before January 24th, but around Feb. 1st also works. If you're interested, let us know and we'll set up a time to meet and show you the place! The lease is one year (through January 24, 2015). The $1250 does not include utilities, which come to roughly $100/mo. The security deposit is $133 and the building requires a small fee for an application and credit check. The Room and Roommates: Our apartment is a two-level unit with three bedrooms, two baths, and a large, private rooftop patio. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, and living room are downstairs, and one bedroom and the patio are upstairs. Our apartment is on the top floor of the building, so it has great views and no neighbors above. The bedroom is about 10x10 sq ft with sliding door closet, and same-level access to a bathroom shared with one roommate. The room has a nice large window, gets plenty of morning light, and fits either a double or queen bed well. (Note: The dog shown in the photo moved out with our last roommate, so won't be in the apartment.) We're looking for someone who's generally laid back, respectful, clean, and non-smoking. We're both females in our mid-twenties and are pretty active (we like to cook, exercise, hike and be outdoors, socialize, and explore restaurants/art/music in the city). One roommate works for a health policy organization and the other is a third-year law student.
