We're moving out at the end of August and looking for somebody to take over our lease. The unit is in the Pacific Electric Lofts, and the rent is $1,782 per month--a really good deal for a unit in this building or anywhere in DTLA actually. The unit is a studio apartment about 740sf in size. There's a full bathroom, kitchen, and we built a nice storage space above our closet. The ceilings are about 10 feet tall (I think), and our unit has very large, northwest-facing windows overlooking Main Street. There's parking within the building for $135/month extra (1 parking space). PE Lofts is pet friendly (additional monthly fee) and includes the following amenities: gym, sauna, rooftop pool and hot tub, rooftop BBQ and lounge area, and rooftop dog run...not to mention, so many fun and friendly and creative neighbors. The PE Lofts building is the same building as Artisan House, the Association, Cole's, Varnish, Mignon, Black Sheep and Ohana Poke Company. That's just this building! There's no shortage of places to eat and drink around here. It's only about a 15 minute walk from Staples/LA Live, all the theaters, Grand Park, Little Tokyo and the Arts District. It's about a 5 minute walk from the Pershing Square Metro station which connects you to most anywhere you want to go in the city. You're also in the middle of ArtWalk when you step outside the door. Anyway, we love this place, and we love DTLA. If we weren't buying a house, we'd probably stay here for much longer....but we're not, so scoop this unit up.
