There is almost always someone staffed in the main office (and a security guard at night) to answer questions and concerns. A minutes walk to the Lionel Groulx metro (green and orange lines), Solin Hall is an easy commute downtown and to various university campus' around the city! Located in the St-Henri neighbourhood, you will be close to the Atwater marker, Lachine Canal, cheap grocery stores, and tons of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops.
