Hi and welcome to Alabama Ave SE! This is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom in a *shared* townhouse in Congress Heights, SE DC. It's a historic area of DC and I'd love to tell you more about it and neighboring areas during an initial introduction call. About the House: It's a recently renovated older-build house in SE DC, with a brick exterior, hardwood flooring interior, and sturdy foundation. It has a backyard and a front yard, and parking both upfront and in the back street driveway. The house itself is three levels: - The main level where the living room, tv, and full kitchen are. - The upper level - where there are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom - The lower level - where the finished furnished basement studio set up is with it's own bathroom and living room set up (TV, microwave and minifridge), and desk, and laundry. The house has central air, a dishwasher, stainless steel appliances, an updated kitchen, a washer and dryer (in the basement). The Numbers: * Utilities not included: electricity, heat, gas, air conditioning, and water, but can be negotiated for a longer lease. (They average $100/ per person per month). * It's currently available for move-in immediately. * $1,300/month rent. * Grass-cutting service ($50/ per month) * Security Deposit will be $500-$1,300 (depending on credit score). About me: My name is Haneen, and I'm the owner of this house. I have lived in the house on and off since 2019 and know my neighbors and area well. I moved to DC in 2018 to pursue my Masters Degree at American University, but I'm originally from Jordan. I work at an international NGO in downtown DC, but previously also worked at a philanthropy that only works in the US (so got to explore many new states :)). I'm in my early 30s and love going to social events around DC, dancing, reading, working out, and exploring new trails around the DMV.
