Nokomis is a "less touristy" area nestled between Sarasota & Venice, which is easily accessed by either Sarasota, Tampa or Ft Myers airports. Historic Downtown Venice is a short drive South, where you can enjoy more restaurants, shopping, golfing and another beautiful beach.
