The reason this is long & thorough is because in the past we've been ask so many different questions about the rental time periods, we figured we'd spell it all out here, and also because we really care about who we live with, unlike other apartment complexes where most are strangers to one another and keep to themselves. Since there are only 3 units here, we do get to know each other, and treat each other like family. It is definitely a positive feel-good & happy environment. 🙂
Nicely remodeled ground level one bedroom, one bathroom apartment next to Honolulu Coffee Experience Center divided by a lively, yet tranquil canal filled with tilapia, crabs, and other fish, to include random pufferfish. Drop your kayak in from the back yard and paddle the Ala Wai Canal or to Waikiki Harbor in 5min. :) It has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom with shower (no bathtub), NEW: galley style kitchen, and living room, and new flooring with bright white walls throughout. There is a window unit air conditioner in the bedroom, though rarely used due to constant breeze entering on that side (East side) of the unit which is shaded.
This home sets you very close to Alamoana Shopping Center (3-5 minute walk) as well as Waikiki beach and harbor; hardly a 10 minute walk. And of course Magic Island, everyone's favorite walkabout, to watch sunrise, exercise, picnic, beach, sunset, etc! I get there in under 5min on bicycle to catch the sunrise. 😊
We have beautiful gardens, a peaceful backyard of beautiful indigenous plants and trees. You may request to use a section for gardening.
The unit has been nicely remodeled with a beach theme. (The last several pictures are of the most recent tenants living arrangement).
Inside, all the windows are jalousie type. The living room is a decent size which is actually combined with a recently remodeled galley kitchen with all new appliances, cabinets, sink, and granite countertops.
The bedroom is reasonably sized at about 10x12' with a generous 2x6' closet. There are two sets of windows in the bedroom on each of the two adjacent walls.
The bathroom is standard sized with a shower, sink, toilet, mirrors, hooks, storage, and a nice private window providing a cross breeze.
The unit throughout has always had a nice constant breeze, never requiring air conditioning, although it does have one. Free washer outside of unit.
