We currently have pets in the main home but the backyard has a separate fenced area for the tenant of the basement to use if you are approved for a pet with associated pet fee. I have stayed in the apartment myself and the only drawback is that when the dogs upstairs get the zoomies, it can be loud in parts of the apartment. Usually happens when people come home from work and he dogs get excited. Not that big a deal but offering full disclosure haha Apartment is accessed from the garage so there is no need to enter the main home to get access to your apartment.
