My recommendation: use a broker (preferably Nick Goforth of Anchor Associates!!) I spent a great deal of time researching areas, contacting (who I thought to be) owners, making appointments... only to be disappointed time after time. I was lucky enough to come across an incredible apartment... and an incredible broker!! Unfortunately, the timing was a little off with my current lease, so I had to pass.
