Seeking a mellow, reasonably clean, and friendly housemate for 1 month+ stay. This is for your own bedroom in a 2 bed, 1 bath apartment. About me: I'm a friendly straight guy in my late thirties. I ride road and mountain bikes, write code, go out with friends, and occasionally need to build things. I work from home on my own fledgling startup. I have people over occasionally but by no means is this a party house. I'm an engineer and get along well with most people, other engineers especially. About the neighborhood: Hayes valley itself is pretty trendy these days; chic shops, fun restaurants, beer gardens, several posh bars and one dive. It's also walking distance to other fun neighborhoods, Mission, Alamo Square, Lower and Upper Haight, Divisidero St, Castro St. I've even walked downtown or home from North Beach on occasion. BART is about a 15 min walk, Muni is about a 10 min walk. Caltrain is a 15 min bike ride, but 7 if you're really fast. If you drive: The freeways are about 2 min by car from here, so you get to skip 90% of the in-city traffic, and of course, when you come home you just *click* open the garage, and park inside. Parking around here isn't impossible, but there's always tickets, street cleaning and a little street damage. Amenities, in bullet form: bedroom: - free laundry machines in garage, front loader - 12 feet x 10 feet plus a little bay window alcove - closet is 7 feet wide - some storage space in garage for bikes, stuff, etc - furnished with the basics, with some room for add-ons - dishwasher, kinda fancy new gas stove and double oven, microwave, toaster, pots, pans, dishes - reverse osmosis water filter - private garage spot (not stack parking, you pull out when you want to) - fast wireless internet included. Comcast 50mbps - high ceilings, period detail with modern renovations, ceiling fans in each room, granite counter tops, hardwood floors -rent includes all utilities (laundry, internet, electricity, gas, garbage, water, etc) + $300 if you want the garage spot Room has a bed with drawers built into it which does the job of a dresser. This combined with the closet will handle any reasonable wardrobe. There's a kinda cool modern desk, and a chair. The kitchen has all the basics. So you're all set as far as getting functional right away. Lease is month to month - I'm open to short or longer stays. A dog might be okay, let's talk.
