We seek a new housemate for our large, charming, and well-located Bloomingdale rowhouse--maybe it's you! Our fearless housemate is moving abroad next year, so the room is available for a February 1 move-in. The Room: A second-floor bedroom with a good-sized closet and enough room for a full/queen bed, dresser, and sitting area. This room shares the second-floor hallway bath with one other roommate. The House: We love our 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath historic (1913) rowhouse. It has large living and dining spaces on the first floor, a kitchen with attached balcony area for grilling, and two parking spaces. The second floor has three bedrooms, a laundry room (with a recently replaced washer), and two bathrooms. The third floor has the master suite. We're just a couple of blocks from the restaurants and bars on First St. and RI Ave, and a short walk from buses on North Capitol or Rhode Island to get downtown. It's about a fifteen-minute walk to the Shaw Metro. The Roommates: Three roommates are staying in the house. Alex works for an internationally-inclined nonprofit, Tanya works in international development, and Chris works on Capitol Hill. We're all in our mid-20's and keep a relaxed attitude for the house. We throw a couple of small parties each year, and have folks over from time to time for a cookout or to watch a game. The Details: First month's rent and deposit will be due to move-in. Utilities (tv/internet, gas, power) run from $45 in fall/spring to about $90 in summer and winter.
