We are looking for someone to sign a 1 year lease starting March 1st. Apartment is a 4 bed, 3 bath in Bloomingdale. The house has 2 floors (1 bedroom on the first, 3 bedrooms on the second) with a large living room, dining room, and kitchen on the first floor. Of the 4 guys currently living here, 2 are moving out to be closer to work. The 2 of us remaining are engineers in our mid 20s and work for the US government at the Patent Office. We are across the street from several restaurant and bars (Thai, pizza, Chinese, Boundary Stone, Rustic, Showtime, Grassroots Bakery, Red Hen, Big Bear Cafe, and several convenience stores). Walking distance to the Shaw metro (15 min walk) and NOMA metro (20 min walk). Grocery stores are Harris Teeter (near NOMA, 20 min walk) and Giant (on 7th St, 20 min walk). The bars and restaurants of U St are about 20-25 minutes walking. The available room is on the second floor and shares a bathroom with one other person. Dimensions are about 12'x10' and has 2 windows. The room will be about $900/mo, but the exact price will depend on any rent increases for the new lease. There is another room for rent, as well, but has a another padmapper listing. There is a washing/dryer in unit, as well as a dishwasher. Utilities generally come to about $100/mo/person. We do not have any pets but have in the past. If you have or want a pet that will not be a problem, but the landlord charges an extra $50/mo for pets.
