I am moving out of my beautiful apartment and need someone to take over my lease. The room is available June 1st. The lease ends on August 31st with possible option to renew. About the apartment: It's located in Somerville (right off of Pearl & Walnut) with bus stops for the 80, 90, 88, 89, 101 all within very short walking distance. If it's warm out it's a 15 minute walk to Sullivan Square T stop and 20 minutes to Davis Square. There are also many zipcars available within short walking distance. The apartment is on the second floor. There are four bedrooms, one bathroom, one living room, and one spacious eat-in kitchen (dishwasher, gas stove). The apartment was completely remodeled in 2013, so there are new appliances in the unit. There is a washer and dryer in the unit as well. During cold days, we use gas heat. Utilities (with the exception of water) are not included, so you'd be paying for a portion of the gas, electric, and internet bills. Utilities have ranged from ~$50-$114/month per person - it depends on the season. There is plenty of street parking, but you'll need a Somerville parking permit ($35/year). If there's availability, you can rent a spot in the driveway for $100/month. Pets are allowed, and the pet fee is ~$85/month. However, the pet will need to be approved by the landlord (who is awesome and lives downstairs from us). About the room: The room is VERY large and so comfy. Newly painted grey wall with white trims. Hardwood floors. Three large windows that bring in lots of natural sunlight. The closet is small, but I don't find it to be an issue. I currently have a desk, full-size bed, nightstand, and a dresser in the room. I'm open to the idea of selling my furniture. About the roommates: There are three other people living here. Two females, one male, and one sweet, tiny Boston Terrier named Ellie. All of the humans are in their mid-twenties. Ellie is two years old, in case you're wondering. They are all fun, kind, and respectful people with their own busy schedules. We mostly do our own thing, but when the stars align, we like to hang out in the kitchen or living room together and chat. Ellie is a very gentle dog who sleeps most of the day on the couch. She will most likely greet you at the door, but she does not bark (she is the best pup ever!).
