The Room: The available room is on the third floor. The room itself is on the smaller side, but still has plenty of room for a queen size bed (shown in photos) plus other furniture. It has a huge walk-in closet with shelves, 3 large windows that bring in tons of light, and a full attached bathroom that you'll have all to yourself. Washer & dryer is on the same floor as the room, so no hauling laundry up or down stairs. The House: The townhouse is spacious and relatively new, with lots of natural light throughout. The main floor has a living room area with high ceilings, wood floors and working fireplace, big dining room table and a great kitchen that was remodeled just 6 months ago (granite countertops, gas range). We also have a downstairs den with more couches and TV. The house has a washer and dryer, central heating and AC, and small back patio area perfect for grilling in the summer. Location: Super convenient and safe location just outside of the downtown area of Ballston. 7 minute walk to the Ballston metro, 7 minute walk to Harris Teeter and Safeway. 10 minute ride to DC on the Orange or Silver lines. ~5 minutes walking to lots of nearby restaurants as well as great running/biking trails and park. Lots of street parking (house has 2 private parking spaces, but are currently used by roommates). Housemates: You'll share the house with 3 other young professional female roommates and a rambunctious but well-behaved Boston Terrier. The ladies who are staying are all easy-going, friendly, common-sense roommates with 9-5 jobs who get along great. After work during the week we enjoy cooking, sharing a glass of wine and watching shows but keep things pretty quiet. On weekends everyone likes to get outside, hang with friends and explore the city. The ideal housemate would also be considerate, friendly and fun! Rent is $1160 a month, and the lease is month-to-month. Utilities usually run about $75-100 a month. There is a $50 application fee, and $800 security deposit.
