Hello, I'm looking for two new roommates in a 3br/2b. Our current lease is up at the end of May so I'm looking for two roommates to sign a new lease starting 1 June. Below are details on both of the rooms. Please email me if you're interested, provide a little about yourself and we can setup a viewing. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have.
Timing: Preferred move-in would be 1 June.
Room #1 Rent: $1,320/mo plus utilities (~$80/mo each)
12'6"x10' with one window with a view of the Chinatown arch. Plenty of space for a queen bed, dresser, bookshelf and desk. The built-in closet is huge and has mirrored sliding doors. The room is unfurnished.
Room #2 Rent: $1,195/mo plus Utilities (~80/mo each)
A 9"6 x 10"6 -- this is a cozy room with two windows and a fantastic view of Chinatown Arch. This room comes furnished or unfurnished as the current roommate may consider selling furniture.
The apartment: 1153 sq ft apartment. Large living room, two bathrooms, newer appliances, and in-unit washer and dryer. You would share a bathroom with one another roommate. The dining room is furnished but living room furniture is more than welcome as the couches/coffee table belong to one of the outgoing roommates. However, if not there are plenty of move-out sales in the building to find furniture.
The building: Secure, modern high rise with a lot of great amenities: 24/7 concierge, year-round heated rooftop pool and hot tub, gym, yoga room, trash chute, business center, and responsive management. The pool deck has a beautiful view of the Capitol. Parking is available for an extra fee.
The location: 2.5 blocks from the Judiciary Square Metro stop, 3 blocks from the Gallery Place/Chinatown stop, and ~1.5 blocks from the Georgetown Circulator route. Close to Chinatown restaurants, shops, and nightlife, the National Mall, Georgetown Law, Union Station, and more. There's a CVS across the street and a Safeway ~3 blocks away.
About Me: An easy-going young professional male in my mid-twenties and from the Midwest. I work downtown, play rec softball and go out with friends on the weekends. I have friends over occasionally on the weekends but nothing crazy.
About you: I'm looking for 2 young professionals who will be fun and easy-going roommates. Of course, I want people who are considerate, mature, and responsible and will keep common spaces clean.
