Sunset Park is a neighborhood in the western section of the New York City borough of
Brooklyn, USA. It is bounded by Park Slope to the north, Borough Park to the east, Bay Ridge
to the south, and Upper New York Bay to the west. Sunset Park is patrolled by the NYPD's 72nd
Precinct.
There is a namesake city park within the neighborhood, located between 41st and 44th Streets
and Fifth and Seventh Avenues, which is the second highest point in Brooklyn (the highest being
Green-Wood Cemetery). The area is also home to the Jackie Gleason Bus Depot.
The "main drag" of the neighborhood lies along Fifth Avenue which is lined up with restaurants,
shops, and entertainment. Brooklyn’s Chinantown is located along Eighth Avenue from 42nd St
to 68th St which is similar to Fifth Avenue.
