Right off the Central M stop and 10 min walk to L and J trains -- super convenient to get to the city! The unit is on the first floor, which has come in handy with moving large things. It's recently been renovated with all new hardwood floors and appliances, and hot water / central heating has never been an issue -- if there is ever an issue, the landlord is very prompt and understanding about fixing it immediately. Washer / dryer / bike storage all in the bldg. The room itself is decently sized; I currently have a full-size bed, large bench / bookshelf, and shelving storage inside with some room to spare. The window has a deep ledge and points out to the backyard: large lawn w/ vegetable garden, seating area and BBQ grills. The area is quintessential Bushwick -- close to train stops, thrift stores, coffeeshops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. There's also a nice park nearby. Very sad to leave this apartment, but I'm moving out of the city and traveling before heading back to the West Coast. You'll be living with a couple, Jonathan and Ellie, both talented illustrators and very thoughtful roommates. I'm also hoping to sell the furniture in the room: the full-size bed is really good quality, 100% memory foam with wooden Ikea frame ($230) and the handmade wooden bench, 6 ft. in length and good for storing books and shoes ($50). There is also a mirror, shelving unit, and clothing rack in excellent condition (all less than a year old from Ikea) so I'm happy to sell everything for $300 total. Heat & water included, utilities add up to about $30 / month in the wintertime. No lease signing necessary, but would prefer someone willing to stay until the end of the lease in September 2015.
